Recorded 20 February 2026. Dripto Debroy of Google presents "Adapting QEC circuits to dropout using LUCI" at IPAM's Bridging the Gap Between NISQ and FTQC Workshop. Abstract: As we scale quantum computers beyond the scale of NISQ systems, we will need to start using chips that have some defective components, known as dropouts. In this talk, I will describe a series of works that we've put out in the last two years discussing this issue, and improving the techniques via which we can adapt surface code circuits to dropout.
