In this talk, we’ll explore visual storytelling and what makes a good math illustration. I’ll highlight the Mathemalchemy project which was envisioned by Ingrid Daubechies and Dominique Ehrmann in 2020 then designed and fabricated in 2020-2021 by a collaborative of 24 mathematicians and artists. Mathemalchemy is a traveling room-sized installation designed to inspire the joy of math for mathematicians of all ages. It is currently at the Navajo Nation Museum. https://mathemalchemy.org/
