In this tutorial, I will demonstrate applications of machine learning for inference of source populations from gravitational-wave data. I will introduce several methods that can aid astrophysical interpretation of catalogs, including simulation-based priors, neural posterior estimation, and variational inference. The tutorial will then move to interactive notebooks for participants to explore these methods in practice on real data.
