Discovering k-Friends Through k-RBG Links

Abstract
We generalize Manolescu and Piccirillo’s RBG-link method to search for n-friends (knots that share the same n-surgery) and explore how certain n-friends can lead to the existence of exotic simply-connected definite 4-manifolds. Additionally, we'll investigate how knot invariants from Khovanov homology, knot Floer homology, and singular instanton Floer homology can be used to obstruct knots from being (-k)-slice (bounding a disk with self-intersection number k) in mCP^2. We'll conclude with examples for which k-RBG links provide a new way to obstruct k-sliceness.
